Always, at the close of a year and the beginning of a new, we take time for reflection and evaluation, with hope and promise for the BLESSING OF GOD in the new year.
I have discovered that the blessings of God are rich and overflowing daily in our lives if we know what to look for. When we understand what the blessing of God really is, I believe we will change the way we pray and we will become much more grateful and able to see how blessed we truly are.
On that note, I look to the following scriptures that seem to sum this up nicely.
Matt. 5:45
so that you may be children of your Father in heaven. For he causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
Reflection :
The blessing of God as an “earthly reward” is given to both the just and unjust, there is no distinction, and its PROVISION is designed to encourage us to be “children of our Father in heaven.” So, don’t despair when you see the wicked prosper, this is simply a reflection of the season of grace we currently live in, where sin and Satan abounds. The provisional blessing of God is also a reflection of the depth of love that God has for all humanity. Therefore, we shouldn’t take His liberality personal.
Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
Reflection :
Now the blessings of God that is full of GRACE “has no sorrow with it” and because it is free from burden, we are able to bear much fruit, to the glory of God.
So let us not be deceived in believing the blessing of God through “provision” and “grace” was meant for reasons to boast and glorify ourselves. No, the blessing of God is a reward of God’s loving kindness for just being His creation. It comes so that our “grateful” hearts might serve Him even more! It comes so we might be set free to serve God without restraints and manifest His visions in the earth through our faithful service. So don’t shamefully boast in mere THINGS without also bearing a “heavenly fruit” to show for it. Otherwise, you have your reward (applause), and they are blessing in vain.

Prayer of Blessing:
Oh Lord let us in 2018 discover even more, the walk of faith that will reward with the true blessings of your PROVISION & GRACE. The blessings that compels us to love and serve you more out of grateful hearts. The blessings that are both small and great that bears no labor, weights or burdens to maintain or sustain it. Bless us Lord so that we might be truly set free to worship you as you so greatly desire. This is what our hearts truly long for…and this is what we seek.
In Jesus name, Amen.
