A Poetic Sonnet about the Bride of Christ
“THE BRIDE GROOM IS CALLING”
O Bride of Christ where is your glory? You were meant to be Radiant and Majestic. Your head adorned with a crown of Glory your eyes like a dove. Your jaw bone is strong and chiseled and your lips speak words that are wise and sweet as a honeycomb. Your graceful figure is shapely and alluring, oh I can’t stop looking at you! Your walk has a stride that is elegant, regal and stable. You make no effort to draw attention to yourself. Your footsteps are quiet and gentle, no one hears you coming yet many follow you. Where are you oh gracious one? Where can your lover find you? Where are you hiding? Have you fallen into a pit where you must be rescued? Let me hear your voice, show me where you are so we may once again dwell in the green pastures and the quiet waters of our most prized heavenly kingdom.
“May you be found”
