“The REAL signs of a FRUITFUL CHURCH “

disciple

Jesus had a following that reached THOUSANDS but only 12 changed the world for the Kingdom of God.

The REAL fruit of local church ministry is not in a large overindulged following but in the lives of those who are fulfilling the kingdom work of God…in their own unique way…as a result of quality DISCIPLESHIP.

In this age of the Apostolic movement, God is taking the people of God “back to the basics” and what we are seeing within the Body of Christ today, is a restlessness within the Church in desiring more spiritual authenticity that would empower them to become a living, breathing reflection God’s word. If we are living in an end-time age (as it seems we are) then it is certain, the world will get darker and as a result, the Church should get brighter. However, if the Church is spiritually obese, asleep, walking in ignorance of her power, lacking spiritual identity and her divine role in the earth, then how can she take her place as a light in the darkness? This is the mission of the Apostolic Movement and why a divine pressure is in the local churches near and far, small and great to rethink and revamp the concept of who they are and what they should be doing as a discipleship institution.

The concept of “church” we have experienced in the past is quickly fading and what we have seen is a people of God who are rising up and desiring to make a difference in their lives, starting from their homes and extending into their city, state, nation, and the world. These are zealous sincere followers of Christ who realize the word of God is not a lie and the truth, power, and mission of the Church that the Bible speaks of, can be realized if she would fully align their heart, mind, and spirit unto God.

The parable of the Rich Young Ruler is confronting the Church today like never before (Matt. 19:16-26).

The Rich and the Kingdom of God

16 Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?”

17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”

18 “Which ones?” he inquired.

Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, 19 honor your father and mother,’[a] and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]

20 “All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?”

21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

22 When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.

23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”

26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

You see, while your heart might be willing, God is showing us that the true mark of a follower of Jesus is revealed in his or her ability to lay it ALL down for the cause of Christ.  Laying down any and everything that would cause you to compromise, debate, and lay aside the will and purposes of God for your life.  Why is this required?  It is because this is the depth of the love God has for YOU and he demonstrated it through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  If our local churches are not cultivating this kind of walk of faith, the Church of Jesus Christ will continue to reflect a carnal spiritual walk and a disparaging image of Christ in the earth.

There is a need for TRUE discipleship.  One that will deprogram and retrain the people of God to walk more authentically in the glory and power of God.  This is what they were redeemed to walk in and even better, to impact the world from wherever they live.

Is this your call?  Is this your life mission?  Then be the Church that will ARISE!
